Coach Flip is currently an assistant coach at Texas A&M University under head coach Joni Taylor. His primary responsibilities are guard development and off-campus recruiting.

“I am extremely excited to welcome Rodney back home to Aggieland and our women’s basketball program,” Taylor said. “Rodney has a passion for teaching the game, and is a proven recruiter, especially in our home state. He epitomizes what it means to be an Aggie and I can’t wait for the 12th Man to welcome him.”

Prior to A&M, Flip spent the 2022-23 season with the TCU women’s basketball program as an assistant coach. Flip also served as the head coach for SA Finest for two seasons where he helped guide the 2021 3SSB 17U team to a national title. Flip has also had stops at Lamar and Texas State as an assistant coach. Prior to that he’s spent a summer working in the WNBA with the Dallas Wings under former head coach Fred Williams.
